Booking terms and conditions

The Hirer shall undertake to abide by the following Terms and Conditions of hire

Room Reservations

At our discretion, reservations may be held provisionally for up to seven days. On receipt of written or e-mailed request from the Hirer and subject to availability we will issue formal confirmation of the booking. We may ask for payment of a 25% deposit of the full booking fee.

Weekend Bookings

To reflect the demand for use of site during weekends, we require payment in full for the room hire costs, when the booking is confirmed. We regret this payment is not refundable.
Our charges will be based on the information provided by the Hirer at the time of booking.

Cancellation

In the unfortunate event of cancellation or non-arrival by a Hirer we will apply the following charges:
If we receive written notice of cancellation:

1.   28 days or more prior to the event no charge

2.   less than 28 days but not less than 7 days 20% of full charge

3.   less than 7 days full charge

Damage

Users of our premises are to take good care of and not to cause or permit any damage to the facilities. The Hirer will be held responsible for any such damage and will be charged for the cost of cleaning, repairs or replacement. In the event of rooms or equipment being out of use as a result of such damage we will also charge the hirer for the potential loss of income and for the additional cost of hiring and replacing equipment.

Personal property

St Michael’s does not accept responsibility for the property of persons using the premises including grounds and car parks. We do however, maintain a register of lost property. Items not claimed within 3 months will be disposed of appropriately.

Please note that the Priory is closed for bookings from 19th December 2017 to 2nd January 2018
